ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
My name is Albert Bazurto. I am a Spanish speaking Licensed Professional Counselor (C4763) in Portland, Oregon. At this time, I only offer telehealth sessions. I am at the cross section of being a first generation American, a disabled veteran, and member of BIPOC community. I was educated at the prestigious Northern Arizona University where I achieved my Master of Arts Degree in Community Counseling. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) modalities in my practice. I started Bazurto Therapy as a way to support under represented populations and the veteran community.
My counseling practice will focus on inclusivity, authenticity, and kindness in support of each person's innate inner healer.
In my personal life I strive to learn as much as I can about as many things possible because knowledge is a wonderful thing.
